The hero of this story is Tyagesha and the heroine is mentioned as Parvati, leaving us to surmise who the heroine of the story is – Neelotpalamba or Kamalamba. Shahaji’s Pallaki Seva Prabandhamu is an opera based on a ritual offering in the temple of Tiruvarur.
